چکیده

This paper describes several models for enzyme mediated transport across a cell membrane. A standard Michaelis-Menten model (based on empirical descriptions) is compared to a deterministic model (based on the idealization of the plasma membrane as a tri-Iamellar structure) and to a stochastic model (having the additional assumption of compartmentation of the tri-Iamellar membrane). Lineweaver-Burke plots for each model are compared using two different sets of parameter values. These plots suggest, and analytic investigations of the models show, that the deterministic formulations yield different transport kinetics than does the stochastic formulation. The effect of the application of the concept of compartmentation to some stochastic models of in vivo systems is briefly discussed. Joint Bayesian Stochastic Inversion of Well Logs and Seismic Data for Volumetric Uncertainty Analysis

Here in, an application of a new seismic inversion algorithm in one of Iran’s oilfields is described. Stochastic (geostatistical) seismic inversion, as a complementary method to deterministic inversion, is perceived as contribution combination of geostatistics and seismic inversion algorithm. This method integrates information from different data sources with different scales, as prior informat...

Using a new modified harmony search algorithm to solve multi-objective reactive power dispatch in deterministic and stochastic models

The optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) is a very important problem aspect of power system planning and is a highly nonlinear, non-convex optimization problem because consist of both continuous and discrete control variables. Since the power system has inherent uncertainty, hereby, this paper presents both of the deterministic and stochastic models for ORPD problem in multi objective and sin...

Numerical analysis of reactant transport in the novel tubular polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells

In present work, numerical analysis of three novel PEM fuel cells with tubular geometry was conducted. Tree different cross section was considered for PEM, namely: circular, square and triangular. Similar boundary and operational conditions is applied for all the geometries. At first, the obtained polarization curve for basic architecture fuel cells was validated with experimental data and then...

BATCH TRANSFERRING IN PRODUCTIONINVENTORY SYSTEMS

In most production-inventory systems, the products are transferred from the production centre to the inventory (warehouse) in subbatchs rather than one at a time. In this paper, mathematical models of such systems for both deterministic and stochastic cases of demand are developed and analysed. Comparison of these new models with the EBQ model shows a considerable loss when applying the ru...

Performance evaluation of Iranian electricity distribution units with stochastic Data Envelopment Analysis

Performance evaluation of electricity distribution units is an important issue between researchers and regulators. Classic Data Envelopment Analysis models with deterministic data have been used by many authors to measure efficiency of power distribution units in different countries. However, Data Envelopment Analysis with stochastic data are rarely used to measure efficiency of distribution co...
